Additionally, geomembranes can be produced with widths ranging from 1.0 m to 5.0 m and lengths from 20 m to 100 m.

The applications of this geomembrane range widely, including use in landfills for solid and hazardous waste, oilfields, oil and gas pipelines, reservoir parks, hydrometallurgical sites for heap leaching, sludge and tailing dumps, toxic and radioactive waste disposal sites, storage tanks, dams, anti-filtration curtains, manure storage lagoons, silo pits, biogas reactors, artificial reservoirs, and hydraulic works. LDPE geomembrane is made from low-density polyethylene film, combined with geotechnical cloth as a water-conducting layer through extrusion and calendering processes. Its density ranges from 0.916 to 0.930 g/cm³. This low density provides good transparency, a soft texture, excellent extensibility, electrical insulation, chemical stability, processability, and resistance to low temperatures (down to -70°C). Additionally, LDPE geomembrane retains good mechanical strength, superior elasticity and flexibility compared to HDPE geomembrane, making it easier to construct and install. It is non-toxic, with a smooth and flat surface, corrosion resistance, high tensile strength, and is lightweight. These properties make LDPE geomembrane suitable for pools, canals, embankments, farms, landfills, tunnels, and waterproofing and seepage control applications.
