Driving the Future with Sustainable Cooling Technology

Carrier Transicold is advancing its portfolio of zero-emission transport refrigeration solutions for North America with the release of a refrigerated trailer system that sustainably creates its own power using leading-edge energy recovery and storage.

The Vector eCool&#; system combines an all-electric Vector trailer refrigeration unit with a next generation mobile power unit that is designed as a mobile power source for Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs). The system utilizes in-wheel electric motors to capture regenerative power. This power is then transformed into electric energy, which is stored in the system&#;s battery or shared with the TRU as needed. The mobile power unit system can also be charged with a standard shore power AC power connection and is compatible with the Vector series TRUs that run on 480V 3-phase shore power for electric standby. This regenerated energy can power the Vector refrigeration unit with none of the emissions or noise associated with diesel engines.
